late last night—despite my homework obligations (which i conveniently forgot existed)—i happened to start messing around with windows movie maker. if you're faniliar with the old XP version you're probably recalling how horrible that program was. why in the world would i touch such limited software?

the windows 7 version surprisingly easy to navigate and not quite as bad as its predecessor. it's actually downright fun to use. that's right. i said it. i like windows movie maker.

granted it's still extremely limited but after finding zero free video editing software programs that that fit my needs as well i decided i'd give movie maker a go. i really do like it. i just wish there could be more audio channels but hey, that's how it's gotta be.

the reason i'm even mentioning MM is that i was standing outside after school, inhaling the breeze and thinking. thinking about how serene the weather was and how picturesque the turf and track look under the sun. thinking about how my team passed me in a jog around the school while i was cooped up inside and how i wished i could run with them. thinking about how this school year has been so much better than the last and the one before it. thinking about recording those memories, preserving the little moments in life we all forget. thinking about how i can make videos, something i've always wanted to do.

thinking about how i should cut to the chase and just make videos for the fun of it, you know?

so yeah. i wanna start making videos. maybe now, maybe later, but i will make at least one.

hi, my name is spiffy. this is my blogger.

now that the obvious is out of the way i'm sure you're wondering what in the world this blog will be about. to be honest i have no idea myself. it'll more than likely be a compilation of all my interests. in short: a lot of seemingly unrelated mind spewing.

since this isn't a microblogging platform like tumblr i'll probably be making lengthy posts in which i think out loud, teach myself, post short stories or essays, journal, and share anything i find interesting. it's also a practice mechanism for improving my language skills.

warning: if i post anything formal or writing related i may switch between all lowercase and sentence case so don't freak if you start seeing capital letters.
